1. What Project B Is

Project B is a self-hosted personal cloud. The desktop app runs a local server on your computer; the mobile app connects to it over your local network. Your files never leave your hardware unless you explicitly choose to share them.

2. Data We Collect

On this website: If you join the waitlist, we store your email address in a database hosted on MongoDB Atlas. We use Vercel Web Analytics (cookie-free, privacy-friendly) to understand page visits. No other personal data is collected.

In the apps: The desktop and mobile apps do not send any data to us. All files, AI models, chat history, and settings stay on your devices. The only outbound request the desktop app makes is an optional update check to projectb.app/update.json, which sends no personal information.

3. How We Use Your Email

If you subscribe to the waitlist, we use your email solely to send you product updates and launch notifications. We will never sell, share, or rent your email to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

• Vercel — website hosting and analytics
• MongoDB Atlas — waitlist email storage
• Gmail SMTP — sending waitlist confirmation emails

No other third-party services receive your data.

5. Data Retention

Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. To remove your email, contact us at the address below.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
